Barnaby Gaitlin is a young man who has yet to make something of his life. In fact he never will. He has reached thirty without having graduated from college and his marriage is over. He does a good job for his employer,helping quirly old people do things around the home. He is not interested in stealing from the fragile people he helps, unlike his colleagues.
